Why You Should Visit

An autumn community festival held around the Kumihama government building in Kumihama, Kyotango, on the Tango coast of northern Kyoto. The focus is on local specialty products on display and for sale, joined by a flea market and food stalls, plus the traditional mochi-maki (rice-cake scattering). The venue is about a 3-minute walk from Kumihama Station on the Kyoto Tango Railway, and since it runs from Sunday morning to early afternoon, it fits easily into a day out around Kumihama Bay.
