Why You Should Visit

A food market held each spring and autumn at the foot of Mt. Tennozan, on the plaza just south of JR Yamazaki Station. Farmers and small food producers from around Kyoto and Osaka gather to sell vegetables, rice, dashi, kimchi, ham, baked goods, tea and more, face to face. This 32nd edition lists 29 vendors. The plaza is steps from the station, so it pairs easily with Oyamazaki's art museum, the whisky distillery or the Chochikukyo house.
