Why You Should Visit
A two-day open-air music festival in Chuo Park outside Hanshin Amagasaki Station, run by a local volunteer committee. Admission is free. Two stages, the Main Stage and the Station Stage, change acts about every 40 minutes from 10 am into the evening. The lineup is mostly musicians from Kansai live houses and covers a wide range: jazz big bands and an organ trio, Showa-era pop, bluegrass, rock and singer-songwriters. Craft stalls and kids' workshops such as balloons and handprint art line the park, so you can wander between stages.
