About 1 km (roughly a 15-minute walk) from JR Kii-Tanabe Station on the Kisei Line. Drivers can use the Tanabe Ogigahama Beach car park or temporary car parks at local school grounds.

There are 8 car parks within a 12-minute walk of Ogigahama Beach, Tanabe (Wakayama), and 1 public restrooms within 8 minutes. The map shows each with its walking time.

TICKETS / REGISTRATION

Paid viewing plots are sold via Ticket Pia. After an August lottery, remaining plots have been on first-come sale since 26 August until sold out. ¥10,000 per plot for up to 4 people, 100 plots in total.

NOTE

Fireworks

• About 3,500 shells. The 1,000-metre Golden Panorama is the centrepiece
• In severe weather, postponed to Sun 4, Sat 10 or Sun 11 October

Same day

• The Benkei Festival (2–3 October) takes place in town. It is a separate event from the fireworks

Parking

• Tanabe Ogigahama Beach car park: no entry from about 17:00 to 22:00, no exit 20:00–21:00
• Temporary car parks: Tanabe Daiichi Elementary, Mori Multipurpose Ground, Toyo Junior High and Takao Junior High school grounds
