Venue & access: Shirarahama Beach, Shirahama Right by the Shirarahama bus stop. About 15 minutes by car from JR Shirahama Station (Kisei Line) or from Nanki-Shirahama IC on the Kisei Expressway.

Why You Should Visit

A light-up project that fills the 620 m of white sand at Shirarahama Beach in Nanki-Shirahama with light and sound. From the magic hour into the night, soft ambient music and lighting play along the shore, and every 10 minutes it switches to about three minutes of upbeat music and colourful lights. The show is staged by the same committee behind Festa Luce at Wakayama Marina City. It began in 2023, and this is its fourth season. The lights stay on until 22:00, so it fits an evening walk if you are staying at Shirahama Onsen.

Yes. Take a bus from JR Shirahama Station to the Shirarahama stop; the beach is right there.
