Sayo Nanko Sunflower Festival Fireworks 2026

cost: Watching the fireworks is free. Entry to the sunflower fields costs ¥300 for junior high students and above, ¥100 for elementary school students.
Venue & access: Around Nanko Sports Park About 5 min by car from Harima-Tokuhisa Station (JR Kishin Line)
By car, about 15 min from the Sayo IC on the Chugoku Expressway. Parking is available without reservation.

Why You Should Visit

The Nanko Sunflower Festival ends after 16 days with a fireworks display on the evening of 2 August. About 600 shells go up over Nanko Sports Park. The setting is open farmland along the Sayo River with no tall buildings nearby, so there is little to block the view. It works well as the close of a day spent walking the sunflower fields and cooling off toward evening.

2 August is forecast to be the last day of peak bloom in the Hayashizaki fields. Timing shifts with the weather, so check the bloom updates on the official page.
