Venue & access: Nesta Resort Kobe By car, about 2 min from the Miki-Higashi IC on the Sanyo Expressway. By public transport, about 45 min by direct bus from JR Sannomiya Station.

Why You Should Visit

A winter-night illumination at Nesta Resort Kobe in Miki, back after a two-year break. This edition has been rebuilt around a deep-sea theme, using new LED and projection effects that feel like sinking slowly to the ocean floor. You walk a roughly 500 m one-way "path of light", and at the far end the lagoon area combines an artificial sea of clouds with the lights (the cloud effect runs until 31 December). Children of primary-school age and under get in free, which makes it an easy evening out for families.
