By car: 3 km south of Kasai IC on the Chugoku Expressway (free parking for 570 cars)

Why You Should Visit

An autumn chrysanthemum show at the Hyogo Prefectural Flower Center in Kasai, gathering entries from growers across the prefecture. The 49th edition runs October 18 to November 22, 2026, with displays along the Yuai-no-michi path and around the windmill flower bed. Expect single-stem giants over a metre tall, squat "Fukusuke" blooms that resemble a big-headed doll, and bonsai-style chrysanthemums trained like miniature pines, all side by side for comparison. The park stays open on Wednesdays for the duration, and until November 8 the Dahlia Exhibition can be seen on the same ticket. Free for high-school students and under; parking for 570 cars is free.

Is there an extra charge for the chrysanthemum show?

No. The show is included in the Flower Center's regular admission, and high-school students and under enter free.

Are there any closed days during the show?

The park normally closes on Wednesdays, but it stays open every day from October 18 to November 22 while the show is on.

Can I bring children or a dog?

High school students and under enter free. Dogs are welcome on a lead, and strollers and wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge.
