Why You Should Visit
A charity walk where everyone dresses as Santa Claus and covers about 4 km of roads inside Osaka Castle Park. Running since 2009, it uses part of each entry fee to send Christmas presents to children in hospital. It is not a race: around 80% of participants walk. Adults and high school or university students get a full Santa costume with their ticket, so you can turn up empty-handed. Taiyo-no-Hiroba hosts DJ sets, Christmas live shows, a food festival with more than ten food trucks and a kids' stamp rally. A good pick for families or friends who want a festive winter walk around Osaka Castle.
