Why You Should Visit

Nagasawa Bungu Center, Kobe's long-running stationery store, fills the old auditorium of a former elementary school in Kitano with fountain pens and planners for two days. More than 30 exhibitors take part, from pen makers like Platinum, Pilot, Sailor, Kaweco and TWSBI to planner brands such as Filofax, Leuchtturm1917, Plotter and Ashford, plus small makers of refills and rubber stamps. Nib specialist Yukio Nagahara runs a walk-in nib tuning desk, and there is a hand-over session for the mizutama collaboration planner. Admission is free, and you can try pens and paper side by side before buying.
