Why You Should Visit

Actor and artist Non brings her ribbon art to Mint Kobe in Sannomiya to mark the building's 20th anniversary. The centrepiece is a new kokeshi lantern about 2 metres tall, designed around Mint Kobe's signature mint green. Kokeshi lanterns line the special venue on the 2nd floor, more kokeshi appear in the atrium on the 3rd, 4th and 7th floors, and the 7th floor also shows akabeko and shirobeko, traditional cow figures from the Tohoku region. Non, who was born in Hyogo, celebrates ten years as "Non" and 20 years in entertainment this year, the same year Mint Kobe turns 20. The building connects directly to Sannomiya Station, so you can work your way up the floors rain or shine.
