Why You Should Visit

The fifth edition of a small one-day festival held across a whole building in Aioi-cho, southwest of Kobe Station. The ground floor is the bicycle shop Jitensha & NICE PORT, while the 2nd and 3rd floors and the rooftop belong to the guesthouse Hotel New Haioku, all used as one venue. Stalls from a patisserie, a coffee stand, a spice-curry diner and a bakery line up, plus live music from the evening. The rooftop hosts its now-annual kids' climbing wall. Entry is free, food and drink are pay-as-you-go, and live sets run on投げ銭 (pay-what-you-like) tips. It's an easy walk from Harborland, and the organiser openly encourages visitors to wander into nearby restaurants and make a day of the neighbourhood.
