Why You Should Visit

A sake event at Takahama Quay in Kobe Harborland, held by the Hyogo Sake Brewers Association to mark 90 years since Yamada Nishiki, the sake rice born in Hyogo, was recognised as a prefectural variety in 1936. Breweries from across the prefecture pour sake made from Yamada Nishiki and other Hyogo-grown sake rice at paid tastings, alongside food stalls that pair with the sake and a stage programme. Entry is free, making it an easy way to compare sake from breweries around Hyogo in one place.
