About 0.8 km from JR Yogo Station. There is no parking near the venue, and the organisers ask visitors to come by JR train.

TICKETS / REGISTRATION

Paid seats are sold on Webket. The 15 S seats sold out on 4 August; there are 300 A seats. Pay by credit card or PayPay. Entry to the seating area requires the QR code emailed by Webket. No door sales are planned (they may be offered if seats remain). Purchases cannot be cancelled or changed.

NOTE

Fireworks

• Underwater fireworks, music-synchronised fireworks, star mines and more
• The lake is ringed by mountains, so the bursts echo around the basin
• Cancelled in severe weather

Paid seat rules

• Unreserved seating within each seat-class area
• No child prices. Infants on a parent's lap without using a seat are free
• Re-entry allowed (wristbands handed out at reception)
• Food and drink may be brought in. There are no bins in the seating area, so take your rubbish home
• No pets (guide and assistance dogs excepted), including pets in carriers
• Tripods must stay at seated head height so they don't block others
• Bring a raincoat rather than an umbrella if it rains

Nagahama stage

• The same festival's Nagahama stage takes place off Hokoen Park on Lake Biwa, 16–18 September
