Why You Should Visit

From 7 to 23 November, Kyoto Botanical Garden holds "Autumn Rose Week 2026: Autumn Roses for All Five Senses". The week celebrates the deep, vivid colours and rich fragrance particular to autumn roses through things to see, taste, make and hear. The garden's forest café serves rose-themed treats such as rose ice cream, the shops sell rose goods and miniature rose seedlings, and a food truck parks by the rose garden. In the Garden Hall there are rose-arranging workshops, for adults on weekdays and for children on weekends and holidays, and short concerts take place in the sunken garden on the afternoons of 22 and 23 November. Everything sits within regular garden admission, so it makes an easy add-on to an autumn walk around the garden.
