Venue & access: Kurodasho Ground (Maesaka, Kurodasho-cho, Nishiwaki) The nearest station is Kurodasho Station on the JR Kakogawa Line. By car, eight temporary parking lots are available; a free shuttle bus runs to the venue from the Hyosu Shrine and Oka Aiai Center lots.

Why You Should Visit

A local summer festival held each year at Kurodasho Ground in Nishiwaki. Alongside bon dancing and food stalls, the first 1,600 visitors receive raffle tickets for a lottery of local specialties. The finale is about 400 fireworks launched from around 8:20 pm, seen up close from the field surrounded by rice paddies. A free shuttle runs from JR Kurodasho Station — a good pick for families after a small, easygoing festival night with fireworks in North Harima.
