Price & booking: Advance ¥3,000 / Door ¥3,500 / Friends of the Hall members ¥2,500 (all seats unreserved) Tickets are on sale online (kobe-bunka.tstar.jp) and at the Kobe Bunka Hall ticket office (078-351-3349, 10:00–17:00, closed Mondays).

Why You Should Visit

A year-end performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 "Choral" in the Main Hall of Kobe Bunka Hall, sung by a citizens' chorus that has rehearsed through the hall's Daiku (Ninth) course. Satoshi Awatsuji conducts the Kobe Bunka Hall Daiku Orchestra, made up of professional players, with four vocal soloists. This year the chorus also includes a new beginners' class. All seats are unreserved. A good choice if you want to hear the "Ode to Joy" live as the year draws to a close, or if someone you know is singing in the chorus.
