KOBE Tourism Day 2026

Why You Should Visit

Every 3 October is KOBE Tourism Day, set aside for residents to enjoy the city's attractions. In 2026 it falls on a Saturday, and 45 facilities offer free or discounted entry or original gifts. Eight are free to enter, including the Weathercock House and Moegi House in Kitano, Oji Zoo, Sorakuen Garden, Suma Rikyu Park and the Kobe Municipal Arboretum. Many gifts at ropeways, museums and sake breweries are first-come, so head out early for the ones you want.

FAQ

Which places are free to enter?

Eight: the Kobe Overseas Chinese History Museum, Sorakuen, the Weathercock House, Moegi House, Oji Zoo, Suma Rikyu Park, the Hyogo-no-Tsu Museum and the Kobe Municipal Arboretum (parking extra).

How do I get the benefit?

No booking is needed. Tell the admission desk you'd like the KOBE Tourism Day benefit, or show the Kobe Tourism Bureau's facility list.

Can visitors from outside Kobe use it?

The facility list sets no residency condition; you just ask at the desk or show the list.

Does everyone get the gifts?

Many are limited, e.g. first 10 or first 100 visitors, at places like the ropeways and museums, so arrive early.
