Why You Should Visit

The fourth edition of a culture festival spread across the neighbourhood around Kitasuzurandai Station on the Kobe Electric Railway. It is a hand-made event planned and run by the companies and groups involved in the area's redevelopment together with local residents, with more than 30 booths across four venues: the Station Plaza, the Gate Plaza, Kitayama Park and the housing-lot site opposite the park. Nine groups perform on stage, and there are community booths run by students from Kita-Kobe Sogo High School and Kobe Shinwa University and by local parent groups, food trucks and workshops. This year also marks the launch of the 'Kitasuzu Lavender Project', which aims to fill the streets around the station with the scent of lavender. Join the rally between venues to receive goods. Goes ahead in light rain, cancelled in severe weather; no parking at the venues.
