Why You Should Visit

An exhibition-and-shop event about retro kissaten (old-style Japanese coffee houses), made with TV Osaka's program 'Katappashi kara Kissaten'. The core is an archive display: photo panels of long-running Kansai cafés visited on the show, plus the actual cups, plates and fixtures used in those shops. The shop area sells house-blend beans, mugs and T-shirts from famous cafés, and handmade artists selling cream-soda and pancake-themed pieces rotate day by day. Photo spots include a giant pancake and an extra-long Napolitan — an easy indoor stop over five days.

FAQ

Can I drink coffee there?
It's mainly an exhibition and shop; café blends and drip bags are sold to take home. Coffee lectures and workshops are planned, some with a fee.
Can I attend just the talk show?
The Nov 3 talk show requires the 4,000-yen combined ticket; a regular ticket doesn't admit you. Junior-high age and up only, and sales end when each session fills.
Can I bring children?
Preschoolers enter free with a guardian. The displays include cafés' own cups and fixtures, so please keep hands off.
