Why You Should Visit

An art fair spread across the Kyomachibori neighbourhood in Nishi-ku, Osaka, now in its third year. Works by 54 creators, chosen from 261 applicants, are shown and sold at 14 venues in the area, including galleries, shops, cafés and a hotel. Admission is free, and you can buy pieces on the spot. The venues cluster around Kyomachibori 1-chome, so you can walk between them with a map. It is a short walk from Higobashi Station and suits anyone who wants to combine a neighbourhood stroll with art over the long weekend.

Exhibitors include Atsushi Sekino (copper etching, painting, installation) and Shoei Hattori (sculpture built on tension and compression)

Is there an admission fee?

Admission is free. The works on display are for sale.

Are all 14 venues open at the same hours?

The core hours are 11:00–19:00, but they vary: kiko+&gg* opens at 12:00, and Hikosen Style and neji close at 18:00, for example. The first day starts at 15:00 and the last day ends at 17:00.

Can I go round on a rainy day?

All the exhibitions are indoors, and the venues sit within walking distance of each other around Kyomachibori 1-chome.
