Price & booking: Advance: adults & university students 2,100 yen / junior & senior high 1,100 yen / elementary 500 yen. Day-of: 2,300 / 1,300 / 700 yen (tax incl.). Preschoolers free with a guardian aged 18+. Limited advance set tickets (postcard set 2,900 yen, Osaka-only Summer Wars mini-plate set 4,000 yen, early-bird pair 4,000 yen) are sold through Lawson Ticket only. No timed entry: a ticket admits you once on any day during the run (no re-entry). Advance tickets are sold until Oct 27 (Tue) 23:59 via Lawson Ticket, Ticket Pia, e+, 7ticket and asoview!, Rakuten Travel Experiences and KKday; day-of tickets go on sale from Oct 28 (Wed) 0:00. Expect queues and possible numbered entry tickets at busy times.
Venue & access: Knowledge Capital Event Lab, B1F, Grand Front Osaka North Building About 4 min on foot from JR Osaka Station to Grand Front Osaka North Building, then take the escalator or North 3 elevator down to B1F. By car, use the Grand Front Osaka car park (paid) from the Umeda exit of the Hanshin Expressway Route 11

Why You Should Visit

The largest exhibition yet on animation director Mamoru Hosoda, marking 20 years since The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, comes to Osaka. Centred on that film, Summer Wars and Wolf Children, it shows more than 300 production materials — storyboards, layouts, key animation and background art — plus a recreated space of the virtual world OZ from Summer Wars and life-size figures. It also traces his origins through his earlier directing work, student films and oil paintings, and his childhood in Toyama. Venue is on B1F of Grand Front Osaka North Building.
