Why You Should Visit

Kumamoto's food comes to the Shokusai Terrace on the ground floor of Hanshin Umeda, with Kumamon serving as honorary store manager. Following the July 2026 earthquake in Kumamoto, the slogan is "the more you eat, the more Kumamoto recovers". Expect Minamata black teas and local sweets, akaushi beef rice boxes, horse-meat sashimi and Minamata champon. A pop-up of Kumamoto's Kumamon Square brings stage shows and venue-only goods.

FAQ

When can I see Kumamon?

At the appointment ceremony from 10:10 and the stage show from 14:00 on Wednesday 28 October, and at the 11:00 stage shows on Saturday 31 October and Saturday 7 November. Each lasts about 30 minutes.

Do the stalls change during the fair?

Yes. The three black-tea growers and Kiraku Shokudo (Minamata champon) are there until 3 November; Fukutoku (karashi renkon) joins from 4 November.

Is entry free?

Yes, entry is free and the stage shows need no booking.
