Why You Should Visit

Hankyu Umeda's annual tea fair moves to autumn for the first time this year, filling the 9th-floor event hall. Japanese tea gardens bring spring- and summer-picked sencha and Japanese black teas, while tea brands from India, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, France, Austria and beyond line up alongside a tea-bag stand where you can buy single bags, tea-flavoured baked goods and handmade teaware. Paid seminars led by tea professionals run every day, along with free talk shows that need no booking. A good stop for anyone curious to compare Japanese green tea, black tea and Chinese tea in one place.
