About a 5-minute walk from Nagaike Station (JR Nara Line). A free shuttle bus runs from the south side of the east-exit rotary at Kintetsu Terada Station (from 14:30; last bus from Terada at 18:50; a fireworks ticket is required to board). There is no parking at the venue.

There are 3 public restrooms within a 8-minute walk of Joyo Gorigori-no-Oka (Kyoto Prefectural Kizugawa Sports Park). The map shows each with its walking time.

TICKETS / REGISTRATION

Advance tickets only; no tickets are sold on the day. On sale since July 25. General tickets (2,000 yen, required for ages 6 and up / elementary school and older) are sold at the Joyo City Tourism Association (in front of Kintetsu Terada Station, 9:00–17:00, closed Wednesdays), Kyoto Prefectural Kizugawa Sports Park (9:00–17:00, closed Thursdays) and Bunka Palc Joyo (9:00–17:00, closed Mondays). Web tickets are 2,500 yen via Ticket Pia. Tickets are also offered as a furusato nozei (hometown tax) gift. Details: Joyo Autumn Fireworks 2026 official site.

NOTE

Program

• 14:00 Gates open. Food festival 14:00–21:00
• Stage performances of dance, taiko drums and Tsugaru shamisen alongside the fireworks
• 19:00 Fireworks (about 40 minutes)
• 21:00 Gates close

On the day

• Re-entry is only possible through the dedicated gate at the North Gate; take a re-entry ticket when you leave
• Pets are not allowed, even in carriers or cages
• Umbrellas and tents are not permitted as they block the view behind
• Shuttle buses from Terada Station do not run 19:00–19:40
• Held in rain, cancelled in stormy weather. No refunds whether or not the event is held
