Why You Should Visit

Izumi City's autumn festival fills three days in 2026, Sat 10 to Mon 12 Oct (public holiday), with danjiri floats and mikoshi shrines out in districts across the city. The main groups are the Izumi Danjiri Dairengo, 18 towns running around Izumi-Fuchu Station; the Shinoda Kucho, whose floats enter Hijiri Shrine; and the seven-town Matsuo Rengo, including Harukicho and Karakunicho. The Dairengo and Matsuo parades run on the afternoons of the 10th and 11th, and the Shinoda Kucho parade follows on the 12th, so you can watch a different district each day. Viewing is from the roadside — an easy way to see a Senshu autumn festival.

FAQ

Which of the three days should I go?
Each district peaks on a different day. The Dairengo parade around Izumi-Fuchu Station runs 13:00–16:00 on the 10th and 11th. Shinoda Kucho enters Hijiri Shrine on the 11th and holds its nine-town parade on the 12th (holiday), 13:00–17:00. Matsuo Rengo does its joint run on the 10th and parades on the 11th.
Do I need a ticket or reservation to watch?
Roadside viewing is free and needs no booking. The city's announcement lists no paid seating.
Anything to know around Izumi-Fuchu Station?
On the 10th and 11th the pedestrian deck linking Future Izumi to Izumi-Fuchu Station is closed all day, so getting between the station and the mall means going at street level.
