Why You Should Visit

Japan Coffee Festival, a coffee event that tours the country, comes to the Terauchi-machi district of Kaizuka. Stands are scattered through streets that keep buildings from the Edo period onward, from around Nankai Kaizuka Station along the old Kishu Kaido road, and a strip of three coffee tickets lets you sample cups from different shops as you stroll. This edition's theme is "Meguri" (circulation). Live music and stalls selling coffee beans, books and goods round out the day. A good fit if you enjoy wandering historic streets with a coffee in hand.
