38th Hyogo Acorn Spinning Top Contest 2026

Why You Should Visit

Make your own spinning top from an acorn, spin it on the contest stand and see how long it keeps going. In its 38th year, the contest runs at the same time in prefectural parks across Hyogo, and the records decide the prefecture's top three. At the Flower Center in Kasai it runs 10:00 to 14:00 in front of the greenhouse, free to enter. The Dahlia Exhibition is on in the garden at the same time, so you can gather acorns, spin them and look at flowers in one half-day. Admission is free for high school students and younger.

Kasai City community bus from Hojomachi Station (Hojo Railway, board at Astia Kasai) to Flower Center Minami-mon-mae, about 13–17 minutes. By car, 3 km south of Kasai IC on the Chugoku Expressway; free parking for 570 cars.

No booking; just come to the greenhouse forecourt on the day.
