Why You Should Visit

Abeno Hoop, the shopping building in Tennoji-Abeno, holds its first bread event. For two days only, ten bakeries from Kansai and around Japan set up in the Open Air Plaza on the ground floor. They include a handmade sandwich shop from Kyoto, a tartar egg sandwich specialist from Yamaguchi and an apple pie specialist from Sapporo. Half of them are selling in the Tennoji area for the first time, and some breads are made only for this event. Buying bread gets you a ¥200-off coupon for restaurants and cafés in Hoop and and (some shops excluded), so it is easy to follow your bread shopping with lunch or coffee in the building.

The event ends once the bread sells out, so it may close before 16:00. If you have a bakery in mind, go early.
