Why You Should Visit

The Miyagi edition of Abeno Harukas Kintetsu's Harukas Nippon Expo, which showcases the food and culture of a different region each time. The Wing Building's B2 floor becomes a Miyagi food market, with Sendai beef and beef tongue bento, Sanriku abalone bento, big Matsushima fried oysters, Kinka mackerel sushi, sasa-kamaboko fish cakes, and sweets such as Hagi no Tsuki and zunda. Other floors run related features at the same time, including sword performances by the Date Busho-tai, Miyagi crafts and natural cosmetics.

FAQ

Are there days with early closing?

On the final day, Tuesday 6 October, the Wing Building B2 hall closes at 18:30. Other days it is open until 20:00.

When can I see the Date Busho-tai performances?

On 30 September at 13:00, 15:00 and 17:00, and on 1 October at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00, each about 30 minutes. Date Shigezane, Katakura Kojuro Kagetsuna and Matsuo Basho are scheduled to appear.

Can I buy new-crop rice?

Yes, JA Ishinomaki sells new-crop Miyagi rice on 5 and 6 October.
