Why You Should Visit

Takashimaya Osaka's autumn Hokkaido fair, now in its 74th year. Across the run, 79 vendors rotate through the 7th-floor hall, and 43 of them cook on the spot or offer eat-in seating. This year's focus is seasonal sweetcorn, with Biei corn breads and parfaits, alongside freshly shucked scallops served over rice. Around 37 items are sold only at Takashimaya. Part of the line-up changes after 29 September, so check the dates if you are going for a particular shop.

FAQ

Do the vendors change during the fair?

Yes. Some vendors finish on 29 September and others arrive from 30 September. Check the official vendor list for the dates of any shop you are after.

Are there days with early closing?

It closes at 18:00 on Tuesday 29 September and at 17:00 on the final day, Tuesday 6 October. Other days it is open until 20:00.

Can I eat there?

Yes. 43 vendors cook on the spot or have eat-in seating, including ramen, soup curry and sushi. Limited dishes end when sold out.
