Venue & access: Along Gojo-dori between Yamato-oji and Higashioji, and Wakamiya Hachimangu About 5 min on foot from Keihan Kiyomizu-Gojo Station, or get off at the Gojozaka stop on city buses 58, 86, 106, 202, 206 and 207, or Keihan buses.

There are 12 car parks within a 12-minute walk of Along Gojo-dori between Yamato-oji and Higashioji, and Wakamiya Hachimangu, and 3 public restrooms within 8 minutes. The map shows each with its walking time.

Why You Should Visit

A pottery fair descended from the old Gojozaka ceramic market. The century-old Gojozaka Pottery Festival was revived under a new name in 2023, and for 2026 it doubles to 150 stalls — 141 pottery and 9 food — with makers from 19 prefectures filling the pavements on both sides of Gojo-dori. The grounds of Wakamiya Hachimangu, known locally as the pottery shrine, become the food area, and a children's mikoshi sets out on the evening of the 8th.
