Why You Should Visit

Fukuchiyama Dokkoise Matsuri closes out summer with the Fukuchiyama Odori, a circle dance with over 400 years of history. On August 14, Hirokoji-dori and Goryo Park host everything from a kids' event to general dancing; on August 25, Fukuchiyama Station North Park hosts a citywide dance. No dance experience is needed, and walk-in participants are welcome on the day. A good pick for anyone who wants to join the circle in yukata and feel Fukuchiyama's summer up close.
