Why You Should Visit

Next to the World Heritage Mozu tombs, the Japanese garden in Daisen Park opens after dark during the autumn foliage season and lights up its maples. The red leaves reflect on the garden pond, and you can stroll a very different garden from the daytime one. It runs on 10 evenings between November 14 and December 6, mostly weekends, with no booking needed. A good pick if you want to see autumn colours at night in Sakai, or stop by after work.
