Why You Should Visit

An autumn flower festival on Hana no Oka (Flower Hill) at Expo '70 Commemorative Park, where about 150,000 cosmos and roughly 3,600 kochia plants come into season. Pink, white and deep crimson cosmos fill the slope, while the round kochia bushes turn red around October. On many weekends there are small markets, food stalls, Mölkky games, craft workshops and a professional photo session. Only the regular park admission is needed, making it an easy half-day outing for families and anyone who wants flower-field photos.
