Why You Should Visit

Osaka Prefecture is bringing back the Jordan Pavilion from Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai for three days only, recreated in front of the Peace Rose Garden at Expo '70 Commemorative Park. Inside, a roughly 10-minute experience lets you touch the sand while watching the film; this part is open only to Osaka Prefecture residents who apply in advance, with a lottery if oversubscribed. Without booking, anyone can touch Jordanian sand, try a stone xylophone and eat from a Jordanian food truck. On the final day, the National Museum of Ethnology hosts a cultural forum on what Jordan and Japan share through the Silk Road. A good chance for anyone who missed the pavilion at the Expo or wants to go again.

Is there anything to do without applying?
Yes. The sand and stone xylophone booths and the food truck run 11:00–16:00 with no booking. The Nov 29 cultural forum also admits the first 400 people on the day.
Do I need to pay park admission?
The event itself is free, but the venue is inside the Natural Cultural Gardens, so the shared Natural Cultural Gardens / Japanese Garden admission is required. The same applies to the cultural forum.
