By car, about 5 minutes on foot from the Central Parking Lot.

Why You Should Visit

"Back to EXPO'70", the projection mapping show presented at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, returns to the Tower of the Sun at Expo '70 Commemorative Park. Light and video recreate the experience of both the 1970 Osaka World Expo and Expo 2025 across the tower's surface. Each show lasts about five minutes and runs four times an hour from 17:00 to 21:00, and the same content screens inside the EXPO'70 Pavilion during the day. It runs on Fridays, weekends and holidays from late November through December, plus December 28–30. Viewing is free; park admission is charged separately. A good winter evening outing to see the Tower of the Sun after dark.

Does it cost anything to watch?

Watching is free, but park admission is required separately (adults ¥450, junior high school students and younger free).

Is it held every day?

From November 22 to December 27 it runs only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, then daily from December 28 to 30 — 20 days in total.

How long is each show?

Shows of about five minutes are scheduled at :05, :15, :30 and :45 past each hour between 17:00 and 21:00. Last park entry is 20:30.
