Venue & access: East Plaza, EXPO'70 Pavilion and surrounding areas, Expo '70 Commemorative Park (Suita, Osaka) About a 6-minute walk from Koen-higashiguchi Station on the Osaka Monorail to the East Plaza (about 10 minutes from Banpaku-kinen-koen Station).

Why You Should Visit

An outdoor railway festival held at the East Plaza of Expo '70 Commemorative Park by Osaka Monorail and its partners. Some 102 railway companies and groups from Hokkaido to Okinawa, plus 26 local governments, set up booths selling railway goods and promoting travel in their regions. There is also a stage, a kids and family zone and a food zone; the 2025 edition drew about 103,200 visitors over two days. The festival itself is free, though park admission (¥450 for high-school age and up) applies. A good day out for collectors of railway merchandise and families with young train fans.

It goes ahead in rain and is cancelled only in stormy weather.

Which station is closest?

Koen-higashiguchi Station on the Osaka Monorail is closest, about a 6-minute walk to the East Plaza. From Banpaku-kinen-koen Station it is about 10 minutes on foot.
