From JR Saga-Arashiyama, Keifuku Arashiyama or Hankyu Arashiyama Station, walk or transfer to a Kyoto Bus. Get off at the Toriimoto stop on Kyoto Bus. Seiryoji Temple is about a 20-minute walk from Togetsukyo Bridge. Bicycle parking is available at Adashino Nenbutsuji Temple; car parking at Matsuyama or Imai lots.

Highlights

• This year's theme, "Evolution," imagines new life forms shaped by future evolution
• About 500 lanterns of all sizes, some up to 10 meters tall
• Shops along the route include Saganokobo, Takagi, Takeuchi Toyu Toen, Persimmon, and ATAGO BASE
• The neighboring Adashino Nenbutsuji Temple holds its own Sentou Kuyo memorial lighting around the same dates
