Why You Should Visit
Saga chrysanthemums are a wild variety said to have grown on Kikugashima islet in Osawa Pond in Emperor Saga's day. Their thin, upright petals look like brush tips. Throughout November, Daikakuji displays potted Saga chrysanthemums in its grounds, which you can see along with the temple halls.
