Why You Should Visit
An annual history-themed festival held across the Edo-period open sets of Toei Kyoto Studio Park in Uzumasa. The 2026 theme is "KIZUNA" (bonds). Running alongside it is COS-PATIO, one of Japan's largest cosplay events for kimono and historical-fiction costumes, with shooting allowed into the evening. There is also a Touhou Project collaboration booth, "Touhou Yaoyorozu Shoten", and a talk by the chief producer of the NHK taiga drama "Toyotomi Brothers!". You don't need to cosplay to go: regular park admission covers the festival, so it suits anyone curious about samurai-drama sets and Japan's cosplay scene.
