Why You Should Visit

A contemporary art fair held at the Kyoto International Conference Center by an executive committee that includes Kyoto Prefecture. The 6th edition in 2026 brings together 63 galleries from 18 countries and regions. It runs in two sections: Gallery Collaborations, where a Japanese and an overseas gallery share one booth, and Kyoto Meetings, which spotlights artists with ties to Kyoto. Works are for sale on site. A curated exhibition, talks and kids' workshops run alongside the booths. Even if you are not buying, it is a rare chance to see a wide sweep of current Japanese and international art in one place over three days.
