Why You Should Visit

An autumn festival where yosakoi dance teams from across the region perform on the lawns of Akashi Park, right by Akashi Castle. Now in its 24th year, the 2026 edition runs on a main stage and sub-venues through the day, with an all-comers group dance the audience can join. Food stalls serve Akashi specialities, and the Akashi Castle Festival takes place the same day. Five minutes on foot from Akashi Station and free to watch, it suits families and day-trippers alike.

About 5 minutes on foot from the north exit of Akashi Station (JR / Sanyo). By car, about 10 minutes from the Okuradani IC on the Daini-Shinmei Road; the park car park fills up, so public transport is the safer bet.

Is there an admission fee?

Watching is free. Food and drink stalls charge.

Is it cancelled if it rains?

It goes ahead in light rain. Decisions in bad weather are posted on the official Facebook and Instagram.

Can visitors join the dancing?

There is a group dance open to the audience. Team entries closed in June.
