Kawazu-zakura cherry blossoms and rapeseed flowers are simultaneously at peak bloom at Nadahama Ryokuchi in Nada Ward, Kobe. This fleeting overlap of yellow and pink is only possible right now.
A field of yellow rapeseed stretches into the distance, Kawazu-zakura trees bloom in pink behind them, and the red pillars of the Hanshin Expressway run overhead — the dramatic spring scenery unique to Nadahama Ryokuchi makes even passersby stop in their tracks, photographers and non-photographers alike.
March 14 (Sat): The Nanohana Festival
Timed to the bloom peak, the "25th Nanohana Festival" was held on Saturday, March 14 from 9:45 AM to 12:30 PM. This beloved community-organized festival featured food stalls, stage performances, bingo, and plenty of family-friendly fun — all with free admission and stage viewing.
Born from the recovery efforts of the Great Hanshin Earthquake, this festival marked its 25th anniversary.

Hanshin Oishi Station — walk south approximately 15 minutes. No parking available; please use public transportation. Bicycles can be left at the temporary space on the west side of the venue.
