Why You Should Visit

Two days with your dog on the lawns of Maiko Park, with the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge as the backdrop. The centerpiece is a dog runway where owners walk alongside their dogs — ten pairs a day can take part free of charge. Around 60 stalls a day sell pet goods and handmade items, joined by some 20 food trucks and food tents, plus live music, workshops, festival games, an animal-petting booth and booths from dog and cat rescue groups. Entry and stage viewing are free, and dogs are welcome.

Essentials

There are 3 car parks within a 12-minute walk of Hyogo Prefectural Maiko Park — Central Plaza and West Lawn, and 2 public restrooms within 8 minutes. The map shows each with its walking time.

REGISTRATION
Taking part in the dog runway requires advance application. Roughly ten pairs a day are accepted on a first-come basis and participation is free; apply through the form on the official site.
