Why You Should Visit

A handmade market of makers' crafts, food stalls, fortune-telling and workshops that moves between venues around Kobe. On October 31 it holds a Halloween edition, its first at Mikage Kokaido (Hakutsuru Hall) in Higashinada. About 50 vendors bring embroidered, tatting-lace, mizuhiki and rattan accessories, roasted sweet potatoes, chocolate terrine, hand-drip coffee and Korean kimbap, along with readings, hand treatments, and kids' nail and custom-crayon workshops. There are also picture-book readings, live guitar, hula and a magic show.

Is there an admission fee?

Admission is free. Shopping, food, readings, treatments and workshops are paid for at each stall.

Is it good for families with children?

On October 31 there are workshops such as kids' water-based nail art, deco crafts, custom crayons and keyring making, plus picture-book readings and a magic show.

Is it held in the rain?

Mikage Kokaido (Oct 31), Tanigami (Nov 23) and KIITO (Dec 12) are all indoor venues.

Is it always the same venue and vendors?
