Why You Should Visit

An open-air flea market held in Sunshine Garden, the outdoor plaza of Sunshine Wharf Kobe, a large bayside shopping complex a 10-minute walk from Hanshin Oagi Station. Dates are announced three months at a time; from October to December 2026 it runs three or four times a month, mostly on weekends and Wednesdays, with roughly 80 to 100 sellers each time. Ordinary residents bring clothes, homeware, tableware, toys and books to sell directly, so prices are low and hunting for a find is the point. The mall's shops and the waterfront view are right there afterwards, making it an easy half-day outing if you arrive in the morning.
