Why You Should Visit

On Halloween itself, October 31, the shopping streets just north of Tarumi Station host "Nanka, Meccha Halloween" (roughly "Somehow, Totally Halloween"). This year three groups run it together: Tarumi Shotengai, Tarumi Center-gai and Westé Tarumi. Expect food stalls run by shopkeepers in costume, lucky draws, a fishing booth stocked with fish caught off Tarumi, a puzzle trail in Center-gai and a Halloween fair in the basement of Westé Tarumi. It starts right outside the station, so it suits families walking around with kids in costume.

NOTE

Three areas:

Tarumi Shotengai: stalls and booths run by shopkeepers in costume, photo spots, and a fishing booth with fish caught off Tarumi
Tarumi Center-gai: Nazotoki Pirates (hands-on booths and a Center-gai puzzle crossword)
Westé Tarumi B1F: Halloween ennichi fair and photo spot

Food and games (planned):

Hurricane potatoes, karaage, frankfurters, baby castella, candied apples
For adults: oden, tonjiru (pork soup), draft beer, highballs
Lucky draws, super-ball scooping, slime making, drone flying
