From Kintetsu Tondabayashi Station (Nagano Line), about 18 min on the Kongo Furusato Bus Chihaya Line to Moriya, then a 10-min walk. By car, about 30 min from Mihara-Kita IC (Hanwa Expressway) via Route 309; no shrine parking.

NOTE

Danjiri entry

• 19 parishes take part: 5 in Chihayaakasaka (Suibun, Moriya, Kiriyama, Kawanobe, Nigarabe), 8 in Kanan, 3 in Tondabayashi, and others
• Floats enter in "upstream order", from the top of the river to the bottom
• Floats are pulled through the villages from Friday evening to Sunday; the shrine entry is on Saturday only

Otabisho

• About 1 km below the shrine, known locally as Hie-no-mae
• The main site where the floats gather and niwaka sketches are performed

Same day

• The autumn festivals of Migukurumitama Shrine (Tondabayashi) and Ichisuka Shrine (Kanan) are held the same day
