Why You Should Visit

A hands-on summer festival where Taisho Ward's manufacturers and local high school students take over the ward office for a day. Craft booths line up — wind chimes, original stickers, decorated lanterns, a can-badge factory — and every activity is free. There are also contests for elementary schoolers: "Giko Giko Championship" for sawing skills and "Kamihiko KING" for paper-plane distance, plus an SDGs art session using scrap materials. The Taisho Food Marche adds shaved ice and hot dogs, making it an easy day out for families looking to spend a summer-holiday day making things.

FAQ

Do I need a reservation?
The wind chime, sticker, lantern and can-badge workshops need no reservation. Only Giko Giko Championship and Kamihiko KING take same-day sign-ups at the 2F information desk, and the scrap-art session takes entries at its booth.
Will it go ahead in the rain?
Yes, it's held rain or shine, though some booths may change with the weather. The main venue is the hall on the 4th floor of the ward office, so plenty of the programme is indoors.
Can I drive there?
No — the ward office car park is used as part of the venue that day. Please come by public transport.
